Property worth millions gone in Boko Haram, JTF shoot-out
 ...Shot sect member arrested
Boko Haram yesterday went on the rampage in Maiduguri, Borno State capital when members engaged Joint Task Force (JTF) soldiers in a shoot-out. The scene of the clash was Bundun Primary School, even as gunmen returned to Adamawa State on Tuesday, killing a police corporal.

The Islamist sect may have changed target with recent attacks on schools which spokesman, Abu Qaqa, said it was in retaliation for an incident at a Quaranic school.
Although, nobody died in yesterday’s gun duel in Maiduguri, a suspect with bullet wound was shot on the leg. Properties estimated at millions of Naira were razed in the ensuing inferno.

Residents said the early morning gunshots set the tone for more confrontation and bomb explosion that were to later follow at Budum Primary School. “There were gunshots for about 10 minutes before we heard an explosion,” one of the residents who did not want his name in the print disclosed, adding that the explosion led to the burning of shops , vehicles and commercial tricycles.
