CAN Asks Women To Fight Moral Decadence

Pastor Ayo Oristejafor, the president, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) yesterday urged women to use their positions to check moral decadence and other vices IN the nation.

Oristejafor, represented by the CAN General Secretary, Rev. Musa Asake, said this in Abuja at the inauguration of the National Executive of the Women Wing of the Christian Association of Nigeria (WOWICAN).

He said that women occupied a unique position and had a lot of influence on both their husbands and children hence the need for them to fully support the moral rejuvenation of the society.

The CAN president said that the women could start by ensuring that all sections of the society were united for the same purpose.

He said that Christians in Nigeria were going through difficult times that could only be addressed if they remained united and committed to the same cause.

``We are not one, we are not united as a Christian body, and whenever something happens in our midst some people are too quick to rush to the public.

``I want to advise you today as mothers, you have a great role to play.
