Royal Arts Academy To Premiere ‘Udeme Mmi’ In Uyo
As part of its efforts to boost indigenous language film making in Nigeria, Royal Arts Academy is set to premiere the new Ibibio language film, Udeme Mmi at the Ibom Tropicana Entertainment Centre, on the 20th of September in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
Udeme Mmi is the tale of Ima, the only child of a wealthy and doting father who indulges her. He dies unexpectedly, leaving Ima alone in the world and heir to his massive wealth and estates but under one condition; she has to be married. To resolve the situation, Ima marries Asuquo in a bid to help her claim her inheritance but little did she know that Asuquo had other plans.
The film stars Belinda Effah, Moses Armstrong, Ime Bishop Umoh, Obongawan Bennett James. The film was produced by Emem Isong and directed by Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen Story was by Uduak & Chidi Oguamanam Screenplay by Rita C. Onwurah
