The Police Service Commission Promotes 19 & Punished 71 Nigerian Police Officers

In a move to apply the carrot and the stick on deserving officers of the Nigerian Police Force, the Police Service Commission yesterday announced the promotion of about 19 officers while 71 others were punished.

The development was made known yesterday in a release signed by the Chief Information Officer of the Police Service Commission, Mr.  Ferdinand Ekpe, and made available to LEADERSHIP. He said the decision was reached at the commission’s 27th plenary meeting.

Among the promoted officers were  an Assistant Commissioner of Police  (ACP) Sam Okaula, who was elevated to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) and Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Geoffrey Okafor who was promoted to Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
