Abia State government yesterday demolished two properties in Umuahia, the state capital valued at several millions of Naira belonging to an alleged notorious kidnapper and armed robber,  Mr  Olisagbo  Ifeadika.

Acting in compliance with the Abia State Anti Kidnap Law as amended by the state House of Assembly, the state government demolished the buildings, an entertainment centre known as Akoto Resort in Afara area of Umuahia and his residential twin bungalow Agbama Olokoro.

Ifeadika also known as Ofe Akwu who is a native of Oraifite in Ekwusigo local government area of Anambra State was arrested last year by the anti terrorist team in Enugu following a tip off on his many kidnap activities and armed robbery.

It was gathered that while the  Akoto relaxation spot served  as a meeting  place for his cohorts, the  Agbama  Olokoro  residential building where his family lived  was used as his hide out.

Special adviser to Governor Theodore Orji on Task Force and Allied Matters, Captain Awa Udonsi Agwu, who saw through the demolition exercise, said the state government gave approval for the destruction of the properties acquired with ill gotten wealth.

According to him, government will also confiscate every landed property discovered to belong to Ifeadika.
