Robbers Raid First Generation Bank In Ekiti


Armed bandits, yesterday, stormed  Ifaki- Ekiti in Ido-Osi Local Government Area of the state and robbed a first generation bank in the town.

The robbers, according to an eye-witness, were said to have invaded the bank at 12.30 p.m. in three unmarked vehicles.

The men of the underworld were said to have arrived the town via Omuo-Ekiti, the boundary town between the state and Kogi State and started shooting sporadically to scare people  away.

In the banking hall, they were said to have ordered the bankers and customers to lie flat  and then stormed the bank’s vault.

Throughout the 45 minutes that the raid lasted, according to the source, there was no serious resistant from the police.

The robbers were then said to have escaped through the Ido-Aramoko Road
