Paul Obazele sets to sack Edo state AMP chairman

Ex-president of the Association of Movie Producers (AMP), Paul Obazele is allegedly doing every thing possible to unseat the incumbent chairman of the Edo State chapter of AMP, Peddy Okhai.

An insider who confirmed this development to HVP said since the actor cum filmmaker lost his “very privileged position” as the president of AMP, last year, to producer Zik Zulu Okafor, all has been well with him. A situation which has now warranted his decision to return to his home state Edo, to vie for the chairmanship of the association.

The source went ahead to narrated how one of his colleagues in the industry, Fidelis Duker teased him at a party organised by Chico Ejiro at his Plantation bar, in Surulere when he introduced the actor as former AMP president who has returned to his home state to seek relevance at the local level.

Although our source hinted that the incumbent AMP chairman in Edo State is not sleeping either as he has vowed never to give the intruder a chance to realise his ambition. Obazele is said to be working round the clock to ensure that he returns to the mainstream leadership of the association at all cost since he relinquished his power as the president of AMP to Zik Zulu late last year.
